Dear NJANSA members,
I am honored to be serving as the current Chair of the New Jersey Association for New Student Advocates. I have been a member of NJANSA since 2007 and it is exciting to see how much the association has flourished. The organization has grown not only in size, it has also expanded across state boundaries, and has gained national recognition.
The Executive Board is always busy planning NJANSA’s next event. We host one event every fall and spring semester at various campuses throughout the state of NJ, and a biennial conference every odd year during the fall semester. At our fall conference every other year, members are invited to present on various topics. This opportunity is available to both new and seasoned presenters. All of our events provide an opportunity for our members to learn, share, network, and collaborate on trending topics in higher education concerning new students. We are open to suggestions for locations to host events and welcome the opportunity to meet at one of your institutions. I hope you will join us at NJANSA’s fall and spring events.
Looking ahead, we hope to keep growing and collaborating to bring success to our students and to our institutions. I invite all new student educators to join NJANSA so we can all advocate for our students together!
Sincerely,
Hezal Patel
